Summary
Running low on credits? Buy extra credits in seconds, check your balance, and review your full transaction history — all from the Payment tab on your profile page. Extra credits never expire and are only used after your monthly credits run out.
Prerequisites
Before you begin:
- An alugha account on any plan (including Free).
- A valid payment method — alugha processes payments via Paddle (Visa, Mastercard, PayPal, etc.).
Step-by-Step Instructions
1. Open the Payment tab
Go to alugha.com/settings (or click your avatar → Settings). Click the PAYMENT tab. You see the ACCOUNT STATISTICS section with three columns:
- Your Subscription — shows your current plan (for example Unlimited Free) and an UPGRADE NOW link if applicable.
- Wallet Overview — your total available credits, broken down into monthly credits and booster credits (= extra credits you purchased).
- Subscription Credits — how many monthly credits your plan includes, how many you have used, and how many remain.
At the bottom you see Next period starts at: with the date your monthly credits will refresh.

2. Click BUY MORE CREDITS
Below the Wallet Overview you see an Out of credits? section with a BUY MORE CREDITS button. Click it to open the purchase dialog.
You can also reach this button from any AI dialog in the dubbr (for example the Translation dialog) — every credit-costing action has a BUY MORE CREDITS link next to the SUBMIT button.
3. Choose the amount
The BUY ADDITIONAL CREDITS dialog opens. Type the number of credits you want (minimum 1,000) or pick a bulk tier:
- 6,000 credits — 1% off
- 20,000 credits — 3% off
- 50,000 credits — 5% off
- 150,000 credits — 10% off
The dialog also shows what you could do with the selected amount — for example, 10,000 credits let you upload up to 833 minutes of content, transcribe up to 500 minutes, or translate up to 200,000 words.
The Price updates in real time as you type or select a tier. Click BUY to proceed to checkout via Paddle.

Check your transaction history
Scroll down on the Payment tab to find the TRANSACTIONS HISTORY table. Every credit-consuming action is logged with:
- Credits — the number of credits spent (negative) or added (positive, e.g., subscription refresh).
- Quantity — the amount processed (minutes, words, gigabytes).
- Unit — Minute, Word, or Credit.
- Type — STT, MTL (translation), TTS, Encoding, Storage, Subscription, TextCompletion.
- Created — timestamp of the action.
- Status — typically Completed.
Click DOWNLOAD CSV (top right) to export the full history as a spreadsheet.

Good to know
- Extra credits never expire — they stay in your wallet until used, even if you downgrade or cancel.
- Extra credits are only consumed after monthly credits are depleted. Monthly credits are always used first.
- Monthly credits do not roll over — they reset at the start of each billing cycle.
- The minimum purchase is 1,000 credits at €5 (excl. VAT). There is no maximum.
- Storage is billed monthly after your subscription credits refresh. Deleted assets are partially billed based on removal date.
- You can check your balance and history at any time on the Payment tab — no waiting for invoices.
Troubleshooting
BUY MORE CREDITS is not working:
- Check that your browser allows pop-ups — Paddle checkout opens in a new window.
- Try a different payment method if the first one is declined.
I bought credits but my balance did not change:
- Refresh the Payment tab. Credit purchases can take a few seconds to process.
- Check the Transactions History — a positive entry confirms the purchase landed.
My videos are low-resolution even though I have credits:
- Storage and traffic are billed retroactively. If you exceeded limits in the previous cycle, credits may have been deducted at refresh. Check Transactions History for a Storage entry.
- If your total balance is zero, buy extra credits or wait for the monthly refresh.
