Summary
Copy the alugha embed code from the dubbr, customize player options, and paste it into your website — with automatic language detection and instant switching for viewers.
Prerequisites
Before you begin:
- A verified alugha account with at least one published video
- Your video’s project state must be set to Public or Not listed (see step 1)
- Access to edit the HTML of your target website, LMS, or CMS
Step-by-Step Instructions
1. Set your project to Public
Open your project in the dubbr and click the PROJECT tab. Under STATE, change the dropdown from Private to Public (visible to everyone) or Not listed (only accessible via direct link).
Also check the EMBEDDING section further down — make sure “Prevent this video from being embedded” is turned off. If this toggle is on, your embed code will not work on any website.
To publish your content, click Im-/Export in the toolbar and select Publish Project.

2. Open the Share Project dialog
Click Im-/Export in the toolbar and select Share Project. The “SHARE YOUR PROJECT” dialog opens with two tabs: SHARE OPTIONS and EMBED OPTIONS.
The SHARE OPTIONS tab shows your video’s shared link with an OPEN and COPY button, a QR code (downloadable as PNG or SVG), and your branding profiles.

3. Configure embed settings
Click the EMBED OPTIONS tab. The dialog title changes to “EMBED YOUR PROJECT”. Configure the following dropdowns:
- LANGUAGE — Set to Automatic (detects the viewer’s browser language) or choose a specific default language.
- SUBTITLES — Set to None or select a subtitle language to display by default.
- VIDEO SIZE — Choose Responsive 16:9 (recommended) or a fixed size.

4. Customize player options (optional)
Below the embed code, the CUSTOM OPTIONS section offers toggles to customize the player behavior. The EMBED PREVIEW on the right updates in real time as you change settings:
- Hide alugha logo — Remove the alugha branding from the player
- Custom color — Change the player accent color
- Custom branding — Apply one of your saved branding profiles
- Automatic playback — Start playing when the page loads
- Play on loop — Repeat the video automatically
- Screen resolution — Set a specific playback resolution
- Start Video at — Set a start time (e.g., 0:00)

5. Copy the embed code
The EMBED CODE field shows a responsive iframe that updates automatically based on your settings. Click the green COPY button to copy the code to your clipboard.

6. Paste the embed code into your website
Go to your website and paste the embed code into an HTML block:
- WordPress — Add a Custom HTML block in the Gutenberg editor and paste the code.
- Moodle / LMS — Use the HTML editor in your course content and paste the code.
- Any HTML page — Paste the code directly into the
<body>section of your HTML file.
Save and publish your page. Your multilingual video is now live with automatic language detection.
Good to know
- The player auto-detects the viewer’s browser language and plays the matching audio track by default.
- Viewers can switch languages at any time using the built-in language selector — instantly, without buffering or page reloads.
- The player is fully responsive and works on desktop, tablet, and mobile devices.
- GDPR-compliant by default — alugha videos are hosted entirely in the EU on ISO 27001-certified servers. No viewer data is sent to third-party services.
- SEO advantage — Each language track can be indexed separately by search engines. A single video can rank in Google across multiple languages.
- One embed, all languages — No need to manage separate embed codes per language. One embed code serves all languages automatically.
Troubleshooting
If the video does not appear on your website:
- Confirm the embed code was pasted into an HTML block, not a regular text block.
- Check that your website allows iframes in the content editor.
- Make sure the project state is set to Public or Not listed in the dubbr PROJECT tab.
- Check the EMBEDDING section in the PROJECT tab — “Prevent this video from being embedded” must be turned off.
If the wrong language plays by default:
- The player uses the viewer’s browser language setting. Check the browser’s language preferences.
- Verify that the expected language track is published in the dubbr.
- Try setting a specific default language in the embed options instead of Automatic.
